Product Description
Tata Panida is a selective, pre-emergence herbicide from Tata Rallis India, built around Pendimethalin 30% EC. It is designed to keep annual grasses and broadleaf weeds under control in major field crops such as soybean, wheat, cotton, and groundnut. Once applied, it forms a thin protective layer in the upper soil that intercepts weeds right at germination, cutting off their competition for nutrients, moisture, and sunlight before the crop even has a chance to be affected.
Key Features
- Pre-Germination Barrier: Acts on weed seeds before they sprout, keeping the field clean from the very start.
- Selective Formulation: Works only on target weeds without harming the recommended crops when used as directed.
- Growth Disruption: Interferes with cell division inside the weed seedling, halting root and shoot development at the source.
- Broad Weed Coverage: Controls a wide range of grassy and broadleaf weeds across multiple crop types.
Key Benefits
- Protects the Critical Window: Shields the crop during its most sensitive early growth phase, when weed pressure does the most damage.
- Better Yield Potential: Keeps nutrients and moisture available to the crop instead of competing weeds.
- Reduces Labour Dependency: Cuts down the need for repeated manual weeding, saving time and cost.
- Easy to Fit Into Routine: Works well as part of a standard pre-sowing or just-after-sowing weed control schedule.
Safety Precautions & Guidelines
- Application Method: Dissolve the recommended quantity fully in clean water and keep the spray tank agitated throughout use; the seedbed should have sufficient moisture at the time of spraying.
- Mixing With Other Chemicals: Run a small jar test before tank-mixing with any other product, and steer clear of strongly alkaline mixtures.
- Timing: Spray only within the 0–3 day window after sowing, ahead of weed emergence, and avoid disturbing the soil surface once treated.
- Handling & Storage: Use gloves, a face mask, and eye protection while mixing and spraying. Keep the product in its original, sealed container, away from children, animals, and animal feed.
