PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Abacin (Abamectin 1.9% EC) is a broad-spectrum insecticide and acaricide of natural origin manufactured by Crystal Crop Protection Limited. Derived from natural soil bacteria (Streptomyces avermitilis), Abacin provides control against two-spotted spider mites, yellow mites, leaf miners, and other chewing/sucking pests across ornamental, vegetable, and fruit crops. Its strong translaminar movement allows the chemical to penetrate foliage tissues and control hidden mites feeding on the underside of leaves.
KEY FEATURES & BENEFITS
- Translaminar Activity: Rapidly moves through leaf surfaces to control hidden pests on the underside of leaves.
- Dual Action Control: Combines contact and stomach poison mechanisms for quick knockdown and extended residual protection.
- Natural Origin: Derived from soil microorganisms, offering a selective profile safe for mammals when used as directed.
- IPM Compatibility: Compatible with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices and ideal as a resistance-management rotational chemical.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
- Wear complete personal protective equipment (gloves, face mask, eye goggles, full-sleeve shirt, and trousers) during mixing and application.
- Do not spray near open water bodies, fish ponds, or during active bee foraging hours as Abamectin is toxic to aquatic life and bees.
- Avoid eating, drinking, or smoking during handling; thoroughly wash hands and exposed skin with soap and water after application.
